One is from Texas, one is from Colorado and one is from Kansas. They are all males, and he did not name the three candidates.“Let me assure you that all three have a whole lot of experience,” Stallbaumer said. “And a lot of that experience goes well beyond just being a city manager.”The Wellington City Manager search is being conducted by the Wellington council. The six-member board and Mayor Stallbaumer have been meeting in executive sessions throughout the summer, reviewing resumes and conducting interviews. The council had received 53 applications for the manager’s position vacated by Gus Collins, who resigned in April and left at the beginning of June.Shane Shields was named Interim City Manager until a full-time City Manager was to be made. After announcing early that he was seeking the full-time job, Shields withdrew his application, citing undisclosed reasons for doing so.Stallbaumer said the hope is the city manager can be selected by the end of September. He did not specify when the council will publicly announce the new manager.Follow us on Twitter. Close Forgot password? Please put in your email: Send me my password!
