In addition, th e Departmentoffers specialized in Spanish for the Professions through itsgrowing programs, medical Spanish, and education. The primary goalof the Department is to provide students with the backgroundrequired to perform well in graduate programs and a wide range ofcareer options.The Department is particularly interested in candidates with nativeor near-native language proficiency in Spanish. Applicants shouldhave a Ph.D in Spanish; however, those holding a masters degree inSpanish will be considered.
