The BLACK BOX is located in Pangyo-dong, which began under the plan to create a sustainable urban environment in order to provide urban-space to ensure regional development and space in the city centre. There has residential area for single families.Save this picture!© Jin Hyo-sukA site is directly bordering the road. Limit line of structure is on a boundary line between site and road. Furthermore, it is impossible to install a fence, depending on the district unit planning zone. That’s why Many houses are hanging a window with a curtain during the day-time.Save this picture!First Floor PlanThe clients is concerned about the privacy issues that people was peeping at inside through windows. But, The window was necessary to solve the problem of lighting, ventilation. So, we suggested long strips of ribbon windows as a good language of architecture for BLACK BOX that allow unencumbered views of the large surrounding yard, also divide the a substantial box in 2 parts.Save this picture!© Jin Hyo-suk2X6 lightweight-wood-Studs through long strips of ribbon windows reveal a playful and honest structural aesthetics. You’ll come across the interior courtyard through studs. This house is north façade as well as surrounded by other houses. We give them courtyard. We hope that this place become a soft and comfortable courtyard in complex urban, also another living room extending from the inside living room.Save this picture!SectionBox at the bottom is public space. Kitchen, dining room and guestroom surrounding the interior courtyard, are always open for visitors. On the other hand, another box is only for family. The keystone is staircase connecting the two boxes. We interpret this space as one room, where plays a role as the stair between two boxes, chair reading a book, AV room watching movie, and playroom playing with family. We want BLACK BOX to compliment each other or live in harmony with each other.Save this picture!© Jin Hyo-sukBLACK BOX is lightweight-wood-frame system. when we start architectural plan, we designed beautiful brick house. However, the Architect didn’t select brick as finishing material, cause it is unreasonable on lightweight-wood-frame system. Thus, I decided finishing as ceramic tile and expressed it honestly in itself. the tile consisted only horizontal masonry joint without vertical joint makes BLACK BOX more firm but light. and I hope to clients get the feeling firm and light.Save this picture!© Jin Hyo-sukProject gallerySee allShow lessCarol Urzua / Lira Arquitectos AsociadosSelected ProjectsPaulo Freire Library / 3C Arquitetura e UrbanismoSelected Projects Share ShareFacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsappMailOr Clipboard “COPY” CopyAbout this officeUTAAOfficeFollowProductsWoodGlassConcrete#TagsProjectsBuilt ProjectsSelected ProjectsResidential ArchitectureHousesSeongnam-siKoreaDemocratic Peoples Republic ofs Republic ofHousesWoodSouth KoreaPublished on January 01, 2015Cite: “Black Box / UTAA” 01 Jan 2015. Powered by Firework Dean Elgar, the South African opener who scored a century on the third day of the first Test against India, has come forward to take a slack at the Indian pitches, stating that it was a hard cheese for him when he was here last time four years back.Advertisement Image Courtesy: Gallo/APThe 32 year old, who hails from Welkom, scored an excellent 160 off 287 balls with 18 fours and 4 sixes, and is the first South African cricketer to get past the 100 run mark against India in the last 9 years, as Hashim Amla was his last compatriot to score a century in test cricket against the Men in Blue back in 2010.Soon after the play was over at ACA-VDCA Stadium, Elgar spoke in an interview about his last experience getting a century in the subcontinent conditions.Advertisement “Every hundred for your country is special and emotional but I’d like to think it was probably my best for South Africa, especially in such conditions and against the powerhouse of India, the best team in the world” Elgar said to reporters. This was the 12th test century for the 315 times test cap holder, who remembered his experience playing here back in 2015.Advertisement “It’s good to contribute once again. Playing in India is very tough. The last time I was here, I was very experienced. In those four years, I have grown a lot as a cricketer. I have played county cricket, which has helped” he added. The Proteas reached 385-8 by the close of play on the third day in Visakhapatnam, and the former skipper praised his partner Quinton de Kock, who also scored a brilliant 111.“Quinny was absolutely brilliant – he’s a bit of a genius with the bat, to be honest. I’ve known him a long time as a cricketer and a person and he has so much to contribute to the team.” Elgar hailed the 26 year old. Advertisementlast_img read more
